Currency, number format and dates
How figures look is your own choice, in Settings → Preferences: lakh grouping or international, the date format, whole rupees. The currency is one for the whole household.
How figures look
Open Settings → Preferences. These only change how the screen shows things. Your amounts and dates stay exactly as they are.
Number format: Indian uses lakh and crore grouping, like 1,08,450. International groups in thousands, like 108,450.
Date format: Day first, Month first or Year first. Week starts on sets the first day of the week in the calendar.
Under How much detail, you can round figures to whole rupees and hide the paise, and shorten large figures.
The currency
The Currency is also in Settings → Preferences, but it is one for the whole household, and only an owner can change it.
Changing it does not convert anything. ₹1,200 becomes $1,200, the same number with a new symbol. Change it only if you chose the wrong currency when you started. Ahead keeps a budget in one currency.

- Getting your data out, and back inSettings → Household → Export everything downloads all your data as spreadsheets. Import reads an Ahead export back in, and never removes anything.
- Sharing your budget with familyUp to four people can share one budget. The owner invites them from Settings → Household and chooses what each can do: Owner, Partner or Viewer.
