Reports: where your money goes
Five reports, each answering one question: how many months your cash covers, how much is already spoken for, what came in and went out, where it went, and which budget figures need fixing.
Opening them
Open Reports from the menu. On a phone it is under More. Choose a month at the top, and every report on the page uses that month.
The five reports
- Cash runway
- If your income stopped today, how many months of spending your cash would cover. It counts only your bank and cash accounts, and averages whole months, so it errs on the short side. For the next 60 days day by day, see Runway.
- Commitment load
- How much of what you earn is spoken for before you decide anything: rent, EMIs, insurance, subscriptions.
- In and out
- What came in against what went out, month by month. It answers: am I ahead or behind?
- Where it went
- This month's spending by category, against what a month usually costs you. On the 11th, it compares with the first 11 days of earlier months, not with whole months.
- Budget accuracy
- Categories where the amount you plan keeps being wrong, again and again rather than once. A category that is ₹500 short every month is worth fixing before one that was ₹4,000 short once.
What they count
Money moved between your own accounts is not spending, so reports leave it out. Tracking accounts, like a loan you track, are left out too. Each report says under it what it did not count.
Reports show what happened. What you do about it is your decision.

- Runway: when your balance is lowestRunway shows your balance for the rest of this month and all of next month, and the day it is lowest. Can I afford it? shows what a purchase would do to that day.
- When a category is overspentThe category goes red. Cover it now from another category or from your money left to assign, or leave it, and your household's Overspending setting decides what happens next month.
- Setting a target for a categoryA target says what a category needs: an amount every month, an amount to keep in it, or a sum saved by a date. The Budget then shows what it still needs.
