Two-step sign-in

Turn it on in Settings → Security. After your password, Ahead asks for a six-digit code from an app on your phone. Keep the recovery codes in case you lose the phone.

Turning it on

You need an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Many password managers can do it too.

In Settings

  1. Open Settings → Security. Next to Two-factor authentication, press Turn on.
  2. Enter your password and press Continue.
  3. Scan the square code with your authenticator app.
  4. Type the six-digit code the app shows, and press Verify and turn on.
  5. Save your eight recovery codes: press Copy all or Print. Then press I have saved them.

Signing in, and a lost phone

Each time you sign in, Ahead asks for your password and then the six-digit code from the app.

If you lose your phone, type one of your recovery codes instead of the six-digit code. Each recovery code works once. Settings → Security shows how many you have left, and Generate new gives you a fresh set. The old ones then stop working.

Turning it off

In Settings → Security, press Turn off and enter your password. Your account is then protected by the password alone, and your recovery codes are deleted.
